Gold for our U12 boys XC team in the muck and dirt of Gowran. The boys ran brilliant races to maintain their status as the No.1 XC boys team in their age group in Ireland for the 2nd year running. They should be very proud of their efforts, which is in no small part down to the serious training they have put in this year. They have rarely missed a session and have put in lots of extra strength and training work to achieve this Gold as the champions of the 32 counties. They now have a 3-peat to look forward to next year and stories to tell their grandchildren in many years to come.

Our U14 and U16 teams and our U16 girl Zoe all completed a very challenging course in almost knee deep mud. Quite a few of these athletes were running out of age and came up just a little short on this occasion but many of them will get to run again in 2 weeks time in Navan and are already looking forward to that.

Matthew also took a place on the podium and a fantastic individual medal for his especially strong run. Matthew, Riain & Darragh were also on the Clare team taking Gold and Matthew also won a Gold for the Munster team. An amazing achievement but so well deserved for all the hard work put in over the last few months.
