Today was the last county cross country event of the year and luckily we had a dry morning for the races. Very heavy rain yesterday and overnight meant that the course was waterlogged 🛀and a bit muddy 🚣which made it challenging for the athletes.

Despite this, we had some great performances from our small team of athletes with all finishing very strongly and taking home medals🏅. They should be really proud of the performance and effort they put in today. It was obvious today that they must have gone easy on the treats over Christmas and that the training they have put in this year is starting to really show.

Our U9 boys team took 3rd place overall. 2 of our U9 boys, Evan and Fionn, finished on the podium🏆 and Ben, running out of age, also took his place on the podium🏆 in the U13 race.

Well done to all the athletes today and best of luck for the indoor season🎪!
