Well done to all the St. Cronans athletes who travelled to Tullamore to the All-Ireland track and field championship. What an amazing group of athletes. The U9 - U11 age groups was a pairs competition with unfortunately no medals being handed out for individual outstanding performances.
We must mention though that we had 3 athletes in the top 5 in the U10 500m running the fastest times in Ireland for their ages. This was a really outstanding achievement and the athletes should be extremely proud of their efforts to reach this level through such hard work and training this year.

Team medals went to Sam and Evan taking silver in the U10 500m, Aidan and Davin winning bronze in the U9 60m and Lillie and Katelyn winning bronze in the U10 Long Jump. There were also great performances by Sean and Aidan in the U9 300m, Loughlin and Jacob and Lillie and Kate in the U10 500m taking 4th places and just barely outside the medals.

Well done to all that travelled and competed on the day. It has been an outstanding year for these young athletes and they should very proud of their performances this year. Just making it to the All-Ireland's is a huge achievement in itself. Let's hope they can continue to build on these performances next year!
